Personal Brief
The brief required us to research a current consumer issue, and then design a campaign strategy and supporting applications which created a new, more socially responsible consumer desire. The ‘Knit, Sew, Mend’ campaign targets the huge amount of landfill which is created each year in the advent of ‘fast-fashion’. The campaign consists of a poster, magazine advertisement and website which educate and encourage consumers to learn to sew their own clothes, mend their existing clothes, and learn to knit. It aims to re-popularise ‘DIY fashion’, which in turn forges an emotional connection between consumers and their clothing.
